PIP Insurance & How It Protects You

When it comes to car insurance there is a lot to understand…and it can be confusing. Personal Injury lawyer Cameron D. Simpson has this advice.

“PIP stands for personal injury protection and in the state of Florida you are required by law to have that coverage. It follows you with your vehicle — no matter if you’re at fault or not. It’s called “no fault” insurance and it pays 80 percent of your medical bills and also if you lose wages for work — it will pay 60 percent of your lost wages.”

Personal injury protection covers you whether you are involved in an accident in your car or someone’s else’s car. In Florida, every driver has to have at least $10,000 of PIP insurance.”
